SCHAI by Suk Chai at Paris Fashion Week

SCHAI by Suk Chai

New York-based Suk Chai after 14 years as senior design director at Nordstrom, decided to head up her own label, SCHAI, characterized by  geometrical, minimalist and androgynous lines. Providing freedom of movement and comfort to the feminine figure, covered with wide volumes and belted shapes. Italian fabrics and luxe vegetable-dyed animal skins are the raw material of her creations. Today it's been already seven seasons since the brand launching, who has rapidly grown and expanded internationally her collections. Lately seen at Paris Fashion Week in Paris sur Mode Salon, where stood out her spring/summer 2017 collection called "Monsoon", a concept that symbolizes spiritual cleaning throw the pouring and submerging of our conscience till the essence of nature which is reflected in the natural fabrics and colors. Traditional elements are a true hallmark, and those in Monsoon feel respectfully lifted from agricultural settings, and later placed in an edgy fashion context, featuring semi-sheer stripes, japaneses plaids, burn-out textures, linens and cottons.
